Bok Y. Lee served as principal investigator for multiple research projects studying the efficacy and safety of the Electro Pressure Regeneration Therapy Device (EPRT) as a treatment for pain and chronic wounds.

Dr. Lee's illustrious career in medicine spans nearly five decades. A respected surgeon, professor and researcher, Dr. Lee has served as an investigator on more than 200 studies, and his research has been published internationally in leading peer reviewed journals. Dr. Lee has presented his research at more than 150 major medical society meetings. His first scientific exhibit was presented at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress in October 1958. Since 1982, Dr. Lee has served as a professor of surgery at New York Medical College ( Valhalla, NY ). He also serves as an adjunct professor at the Center for Biomedical Engineering at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute ( Troy, NY ).

For more than 25 years, Dr. Lee has served as an attending surgeon at Metropolitan Hospital and Medical Center ( New York, NY ). He has also served as an attending surgeon at Westchester County Medical Center ( Valhalla, NY ) since 1985. Other current academic and hospital appointments include chief of surgical services, director of surgical research, director of the surgical residency training program and principal investigator in surgical research at Veterans Administration Medical Center ( Castle Point, NY ).

Dr. Lee began his medical career in Korea , where he earned his degree in medicine at the Seoul National University School of Medicine in 1951. He completed his residency in general surgery at St. Clare's Hospital and Health Center ( New York, NY ), where he served as chief resident from 1957-1958. He completed his fellowship in general surgery and vascular surgery at St. Clare's Hospital and Health Institute of Surgical Research. He also completed a special fellowship under the directorship of John L. Madden, M.D. He completed his residency in Thoracic Surgery at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Medical Center, from 1959-1961.

For presenting his groundbreaking research, Dr. Lee has more than 50 awards, honors and commendations from the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, American College of Angiology and many others.

Dr. Lee is licensed to practice medicine in California, Connecticut and New York. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of nearly 30 major medical societies and fellowship programs including the American College of Surgeons (past president, Upstate New York Chapter), the International Society of Surgery/Societe Internationale de Chirurgie, the American Geriatrics Society and the Association of Military Surgeons of the U.S.
